[After Leon so graciously drops Mikleo off at their apartment, the water seraph proceeds to just lie down on the floor in the living room. He'll get up in a bit to go to their bedroom, but, for now, he's on the floor, too tired to care.
This is exactly what Sorey's going to see in this video, too. Mikleo on his side, looking sicker than he was this morning, and a hint of the carpet seen at the bottom of the camera. His eyes are a little glassy, but they're alert enough.]
Hey. Leon just dropped me off. Apparently, I looked like I was about to collapse, so he brought me back here. Are you doing alright?
[ Sorey is only going to respond with his voice ... Why? Because he looks terrible. He knows it has to be clear in his expression how sickly he's feeling, but ... maybe he can hide it in his shaky, sick voice if he tries hard enough. (Note: he can't.) ]
B-Better than ever, Mikleo. [ H-Haha ... But he has to ask — ] A-Are you on the floor?
[ Ah. There is a quiet groan from him as he holds his head after that (good thing you can't see him holding his head but that groan slipped out when he didn't want it to). T-Too much exerting energy. That hurt a little and made him kind of dizzy.
Mmnnn. ] G-Good. You should definitely get to a bed then if you're not feeling well.
[God, Sorey, look at how unimpressed your boyfriend is.]
I asked him to check on you and drag you back to the apartment if he feels he needs to.
[Because Mikleo knew that he'd say all of this.]
Sorey, I could say the same to you. [His stern tone is coming through loud and clear. Well, figuratively loud, at any rate.] I haven't failed to notice that you've been looking like you're getting sicker every day.
There's absolutely a need for it when I know I can't leave to come get you before you pass out in the water.
[For the same reason it's unfair that Sorey can read Mikleo so well. The water seraph's obviously not budging on this one.]
You're stuttering, something you don't do normally. I can hear your teeth chattering on the other end, and your voice isn't as exuberant as it normally is. I had some intense vertigo earlier, and I'm sure you'll be getting that as well, if you haven't already. Also, I've noticed that you have a headache, and it's definitely not from the time I had to knock you out.
... But gosh. Mikleo has him figured out all too well, so he gives in and turns on his video finally. There's nothing he can do to defend himself at this point. So once his video pops on, he looks ... incredibly tired. Uncharacteristically tired. He's also shivering a little and swaying back and forth. It's most certainly not good. ]
... A-Alright, alright. You got me, Mikleo. B-But I can't just leave. W-What if someone drowns or gets hurt because I left?
[ You should know he puts others above himself! His health is small in comparison to the people he should be watching over here ... ]
[You know it's bad when Mikleo's first action is to sit up and attempt to stand so that he can walk out the door. Fortunately, he doesn't make it very far to a standing position before he's forced to resume a sitting position. Vertigo is a bitch.
Sorey won't see the attempt to stand, but he'll certainly hear the dull thud as Mikleo falls right back down. The water seraph picks up the CereVice, looking a shade paler than the last time he saw his face. Possibly a touch nauseous, too.]
Just let someone else cover for you. You're not the only lifeguard, and in the state you're in? You won't be much use to them.
[ Ah — he hears that thud and he's incredibly concerned by it for a moment. ]
—Mikleo? [ Oh, but when he sees his face, at least he knows he's ... not hurt ... but he looks pretty bad. Ugh. Maybe he should get home just for the sake of taking care of Mikleo. Sighing. ]

[ So he'll go ahead and start getting off his place on the lifeguard stand, which luckily isn't too high because ... he ends up being hit with some serious dizziness, and weakness to go along with it, and the moment his feet touch the ground and he's no longer sitting down, his legs give out and he falls, dropping the CereVice for a moment. S-Sorry, if this is only making you more concerned, Mikleo ...
But he'll be visible again in the CereVice soon enough as he picks it back up, with some groaning. ]
[Mikleo knows exactly what he's going to do the moment Sorey's back safely. He's going to block every single attempt for his friend to try helping everyone else. It's this little thought and prioritizing what to do that keeps the water seraph from going out of his mind with worry.]
Look, just...sit tight and wait for Dezel, okay? You're in no condition to walk all the way back to the apartment.
[He stands again, slowly this time. This works better for him, and he's making his way to Sorey's bedroom, though he keeps his free hand braced against the wall like it's a guard rail.]

[ Good luck, Mikleo. He has to help you and everyone else! He's honestly pretty worried right now but he'll try not to show it too much. Weh.
He'll move himself so that he's got his back against the lifeguard stand as he sits on the ground. Leaning against something is his best bet right now. ]

Mikleo wants to know that, too. The seraph is already running through a mental list of people he's met who might be able to figure it out. So far, he's only come up with one.]

[The more he walks (or slowly shuffles along, really), the more obvious it is that he really needs to lie the hell down. It's not like it's a long walk from the living room, either. He kind of growls absentmindedly:]

["...I won't be pleased." Basically. There's a reason he hasn't slept since the first couple of days he's been sick.]
[For a moment, Mikleo doesn't say anything. The only sound that can be heard is the seraph pushing open Sorey's bedroom door, and he pauses at the doorway. His voice is quiet as he speaks up.]
For the past couple of nights, I've been woken up by nightmares in the middle of the night. I can't remember them when I wake up, but it's been enough that I decided that I won't be sleeping.
[He doesn't talk for a moment as he climbs in and gets comfortable on the left side of the bed. Welcome back to looking at him sideways.]
We're not the only ones, either. I talked to Korra yesterday and she's been experiencing the same thing. Honestly, I haven't felt this bad since our first visit to Ladylake.
[ Mmnn ... this is concerning. Very concerning indeed. The nightmares, the ill feelings, and that comment about their visit to Ladylake ... Yeah, Mikleo did mention feeling sick from the malevolence back then. ]
Mikleo, you don't think this could have something to do with malevolence, do you?
[ He's just going to come out and say it. It can't hurt to suggest the idea of it. If it's not malevolence, then that's good. If it is, then they need to stop it. ]

Not the malevolence in our world, no. There's no pressure on my chest. However, it's true that our healing spells haven't been able to do anything to cure it, and neither has any medicine worked to alleviate the symptoms. Also, there's been no fever. It could very well be a different kind of corruption we're sensing, especially if we consider that anyone else this sick is in some way spiritually aware or has a quality similar to what we have.
[The seraph looks back at Sorey, and there's a stern expression on his face.]
You're not going out to look for it. Not on your own, and certainly not right now when you can't even stand.
[ Hmhmm he'll think on all that for a moment, too. Yeah, it doesn't have the exact characteristics of their malevolence. But it does have some weird things about it that suggest it could be something comparable. ]
Y-Yeah ... Well whatever it is, it's gotta be some kind of corruption going on, even if it isn't malevolence.
[ But, ah, Mikleo ... He can agree that now isn't a good time, too. But. ]
All right, all right ... But if this keeps up, someone's gonna [ A small pause to take a deep breath, a hand starting to move to his forehead. This sickness isn't cool. ] have to do something ...
[ And Sorey intends for that someone to be himself if this continues on for too long. ]
Let's run it by the others. It doesn't hurt to at least be prepared.
[Mikleo is absolutely not surprised, despite how worried he looks when Sorey pauses like that. The sooner his best friend gets back here, the better, honestly.]
If we're going out there, then we'll need all the strength we can have. Edna and Dezel are the only ones well enough to do any sort of scouting around.
Yeah. L-Let's ask what they think and let them know we might have to take action later.
[ Hopefully something'll be done about it before they have to take action, because he's not sure how well he'll feel, but ... regardless, something has to be done! He's glad they have a couple friends who'd be able to handle it, at least. ]
